Retired tennis star Ash Barty has married long-time partner Garry Kissick.

The 26-year-old posted a photo confirming the news on her Instagram on Saturday with the caption “Husband & Wife.”

The Australian tennis icon exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Queensland in early July. Per the Courier Mail, the guest list included fellow Australian tennis greats Pat Rafter, Alicia Molik and Casey Dellacqua.

Barty stunned the tennis world when she retired from the sport in March at the age of 25. The former World No. 1 has three Grand Slams to her name, including the 2019 French Open, 2021 Wimbledon and 2022 Australian Open.

“As a person this is what I want. I want to chase after some other dreams that I’ve always wanted to do and I’ve always had that really healthy balance, but I’m really really excited,” Barty said at the time of her retirement.

Kissick and Barty met seven years ago at Brookwater Golf Club, where Kissick works as a trainee professional.
