PNC Stadium, home to the Houston Dash, is getting an upgrade, with the club announcing renovation plans to be completed ahead of the 2023 season.
As a part of the project, new mesh seating will be installed throughout the seating bowl, making PNC the first American soccer-specific stadium with such a feature. Produced by 4Topps and DreamSeat, the mesh seats are cooler than traditional stadium seating.
Upgrades also include an air-conditioned, all-inclusive club area called the East Club.

“As I have said since my first day, one of our biggest priorities is to enhance the game day experience for our supporters,” said Ted Segal, who took over as the new controlling owner of the Dash and MLS club Houston Dynamo last year. “These improvements to PNC Stadium will allow us to improve the experience for every person who walks through our gates, draw more fans to the stadium and in turn give our players a stronger home-field advantage. This project will also make our facility a more active and engaged community asset that serves as a more attractive destination for additional soccer and non-soccer events.”
The project will begin after the 2022 NWSL and MLS seasons and is expected to be completed for the 2023 campaigns.
