Myisha Hines-Allen appears to be packing her bags in Indianapolis. The Indiana Fever forward posted an Instagram story on October 13th showing a moving truck alongside the caption "On to the next…," fueling speculation about her future with the franchise.
Hines-Allen's Defensive Impact in Indiana
The 31-year-old Louisville alum signed a one-year deal with Indiana last April after stops with the Washington Mystics, Minnesota Lynx, and Dallas Wings. Throughout the 2026 season, earned consistent minutes as the Fever's go-to physical presence inside the paint.
Head coach Stephanie White often underlined her importance on the team this year, calling Hines-Allen a "beast on the floor."
And the 2020 All-WNBA Second Team pick proved that reputation down the stretch. In the winner-take-all first-round Game 3 against the Las Vegas Aces, the veteran forward posted 12 points and a season-high 12 rebounds in just 20 minutes off the bench.
Will the Fever Keep Hines-Allen in WNBA Free Agency?
Still, her expiring contract means Hines-Allen enters WNBA free agency this offseason with no guaranteed return. Indiana faces decisions on several other pending deals, too, and hasn't indicated whether a reunion is in the cards.
Hines-Allen hasn't confirmed a departure, but fans tracking the post are already bracing for what "the next" could mean.
