Angel City FC investors Jennifer Garner and Glennon Doyle are protecting Christen Press at all costs, escorting the injured star into the club’s regular season game against the San Diego Wave on Saturday, the first in the Southern California rivalry series.
Garner and Doyle were seen flanking Press as she made her way into Banc of California Stadium with a crutch.
Press is out for the remainder of the NWSL season after tearing her ACL in June. The star forward had scored two goals and recorded one assists in eight starts before suffering the injury against Racing Louisville FC.

Donning “official soccer mom” T-shirts, Garner and Doyle took their roles very seriously. The duo presented the Angel City players with orange slices after the game, congratulating them on their 2-1 win over the first-place Wave.
Not Jennifer Garner with literal orange slices post game being the literal soccer mom we all need after a hard-earned win. 😂💀🍊❤️🏟 #AngelCityFC #ACFC #Volemos https://t.co/cdV9EohuOw pic.twitter.com/DNQtoZKHK8
