The Kansas City Current has unveiled their secondary jersey for the upcoming NWSL season, revealing the Electric kit Tuesday.
The club will debut their away kit during their regular-season opener against the Portland Thorns on Saturday at Providence Park.
The jersey’s bright teal paneling represents the club’s new path backed by energy and optimism, according to the Current, while the red accents on the kit highlight Kansas City’s passion for the sport and community.
The white and teal top will be paired with white shorts and the team’s now signature teal socks. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the NWSL, the 2022 kits will also feature a metallic silver badge.
The jersey features the team’s new crest, as well as sponsors Saint Luke’s Health System inscribed across the front, Palmer Square Capital Management emblazoned on the back and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City marked on the sleeve.

“I am proud and honored to represent Kansas City,” Current defender Kristen Edmonds said in a statement. “This community has embraced our team since day one and every time I step on the field, I know I am playing for something bigger than myself. We are building something special here and continuing to raise the bar and set new standards. Our new kit tells a story of where we are headed, from the bold red accents to the teal rising up the sides. I couldn’t be more excited to represent this city, this crest and everything this club stands for.”
The custom Nike kit was designed by Willoughby Design and is now available for purchase on the team website.
