The Kansas City Current picked up an impressive road win Wednesday night, downing the Houston Dash 3-0 for three points in the Challenge Cup standings.
The Current took the lead early, with Taylor Leach volleying in a Hailie Mace corner kick just two minutes into the match.

Kristen Hamilton followed up Leach’s go-ahead goal, one-timing a cross from Elyse Bennett at the back post to go up 2-0 in the 27th minute.

Kansas City added to its lead in the second half, with Lo’eau LaBonta making a streaking run down the center of the pitch before beating Jane Campbell to put the game out of reach.

The 3-0 victory lifts the Current to the top of the Central Division standings, while the Dash fall to third place through three games played.
