The Washington Spirit were honored for their recent NWSL Championship title on Monday night football as the Washington Football Team faced off against the Seattle Seahawks.

Spirit defender Kelley O’Hara served as honorary captain for the game, joining the two teams for the coin toss. Also in attendance were Audrey Bledsoe, Paige Nielsen, Tara McKeown and Anna Heilferty.

In the second quarter, the players were honored on the field for their accomplishments. The Washington Football team would go on to defeat the Seahawks 17-15 thanks to a game-sealing interception of a 2-point conversion in the 4th quarter.
