Leanne Wong led the way for Team USA at the World Gymnastics Championships. The United States’ three medals tied Japan and the Russian Gymnastics Federation for the most earned in the women’s events.
Between the men and women, Team USA won a total of five medals at the tournament.

Wong earned silver in the individual all-around and bronze on the floor to lead the way for Team USA, while Kayla DiCello grabbed bronze in the individual all-around.
Angelina Melnikova cleaned up for the Russian Gymnastics Federation, winning the individual all-around while also taking home bronze in vault and silver on the floor. Japan had two gold medalists in Urara Ashikawa on balance beam and Mai Murakami on floor, with Murakami also winning bronze on balance beam.
