Wind gusts up to 25 miles per hour battered the Yanqing Alpine Skiing Center on Friday, causing multiple delay before the eventual decision to postpone.
Shiffrin will become the second woman to race in six alpine skiing events if the competition goes off on Saturday evening. The American skier is still in search of her first medal in Beijing after skiing out of three events and finishing 18th in the downhill event.
