Racing Louisville has a new look, with the team unveiling a fresh mint kit at a reveal party Thursday evening.

The jersey will be worn for most of the club’s away matches during the 2022 and 2023 NWSL seasons. But Racing will give home fans the first look, planning to debut the kit during the team’s home match against Houston Dash at Lynn Family Stadium on May 14.

White with mint-colored fleur de lis, the jersey is a nod to Louisville’s history. Mint, the signature ingredient in the famous mint julep, the traditional drink of the Kentucky Derby, celebrates the city’s cultural tradition, as does the fleur de lis pattern.

The kit will also include the team’s sponsors, with GE Appliances emblazoned on the front, PNC above the name plate, Prüvit below the jersey number and Toyota on the sleeve.

Mint shorts and white socks will complete Racing Louisville’s away uniform.

“We are thrilled to show off our new away jerseys,” Racing Louisville president James O’Connor said in the club’s news release. “And we are especially pleased to see the mint on show. They’re vibrant jerseys, and we all feel they will be a huge hit with our supporters.”

The kits were designed by a team including board member Chris Harding and graphic designer Rachel Regenauer.

“We always knew we wanted this kit to be mint, so the design process started with the color,” Regenauer said. “The fans love mint. We love mint. It was ‘mint’ to be.”

Louisville’s new jerseys are available at shop.racingloufc.com. The kits also will be available for purchase in the future at the team store at Lynn Family Stadium.
