With 12.8 seconds left in the game, center Shakira Austin grabbed an offensive rebound, converted a go-ahead 3-point play, and lifted Washington to a 100-99 win over Las Vegas on Wednesday night.

Despite the Aces leading 87-78 midway through the period, both Austin and Sonia Citron refused to fold.
Austin poured in 11 points during the rally, while Citron knocked down a pair of free throws with 43 seconds left to pull Washington within one. Moments later, she missed a driving layup. But Austin was there, hauling in the offensive board and drawing the foul to complete the comeback.
The four-year center finished the game with 25 points and 6 rebounds. Meanwhile, Citron, a 2026 WNBA All-Star pick, ended her night with 20, going 5-6 from the free throw line.
Still, the Aces put up a strong showing.

The win evened the Mystics' record at 13-13 heading into the All-Star break. Meanwhile, the Aces drop to 18-8, now two games behind the league-leading Minnesota Lynx.
