LSU is back in the top 10 for the first time in 13 years, coming in at No. 8 in the most recent AP Poll.
It’s the Tigers’ first season under Kim Mulkey, who won three national titles in 21 seasons at Baylor. In her first season, she has guided LSU to 23 wins. Currently, the team is second in the SEC behind South Carolina, the unanimous No. 1 team in this week’s AP poll.
In addition to entering the poll for the first time since 2009, this is the Tigers’ winningest season since finishing the 2011-12 season with 23 victories.
North Carolina was the week’s biggest climber, up six spots to No. 18 after knocking off Louisville, who dropped one spot to No. 4.
Indiana dropped five spots to No. 10 following a loss to then-No. 22 Iowa at home on Saturday. The Hoosiers dropped a second game against Iowa on Monday.
Baylor moved up to fifth, Michigan to sixth and UConn to No. 7.
Notre Dame is up five spots to No. 14, its best ranking since winning the national title in 2018-19.
