Top-ranked South Carolina beat Kentucky 59-50 on Thursday night behind Aliyah Boston’s 16th straight double-double.
The Gamecocks led throughout the game, scoring 46 points in the paint to Kentucky’s 26.
South Carolina led by as many as 18 points early in the fourth quarter before the Wildcats came back within seven.
It’s the 10th straight SEC victory for the Gamecocks, while Kentucky dropped their eighth of their last nine games.
South Carolina struggled with turnovers, committing 17 against Kentucky. The Wildcats took some advantage, scoring 17 points off turnovers.
Boston secured the double-double early in the third quarter. The National Player of the Year candidate scored 14 points and grabbed 15 rebounds while adding two assists, two blocks and two steals. She now sits fourth in the country in double-doubles. DePaul’s Aneesah Morrow leads the way with 20.
With her performances, Boston is averaging a double-double this season with 17.2 points and 11.8 rebounds per game.

Zia Cooke contributed 10 points, including South Carolina’s lone 3-pointer, while Victaria Saxton had eight points and 11 rebounds.
Kentucky’s Rhyne Howard led all scorers with 21 points and nine rebounds.
South Carolina will next face off against No. 17 Georgia at 12 p.m. on ESPN2.
