Under Armour has created custom shirzees for each member of the South Carolina Gamecocks’ women’s basketball team. The shirzees – a t-shirt replica of each player’s jersey – are available starting Tuesday for a limited time.
It marks a continued commitment to the team and standout Aliyah Boston as they begin play in the NCAA Tournament as the No. 1 overall seed.
“At Under Armour, we believe in making sports more equitable on and off the court,” said Under Armour’s Head of Americas Sports Marketing Charece Williams Gee. “We are proud to continue our support for the South Carolina women’s basketball team through this first-of-its-kind opportunity that will allow fans to cheer on their favorite female basketball athletes as they compete to remain number one in the nation this March and beyond.”
It’s the first deal of its kind in women’s basketball.
Dawn Staley said that “the love shown” to the shirzees “makes me tear up.”
“This is what investing in women looks like,” she said. “Some players are sold out, some sizes are no longer available. Hurry and get yours! I’m loving it!!”

Boston called it “exciting.”
“It feels really good to have a [shirzee] on sale with my name on it because it is something I wanted since I started playing basketball,” said Boston. “To be able to have people buy my [shirzee] is exciting, especially at the college level.”
The Gamecocks begin play on Friday at 2 p.m. ET in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
