Jocelyn Alo continues to make home run history, passing Pete Incaviglia for the most home runs across college softball and baseball. With two home runs Tuesday, the Oklahoma senior reached 102 career home runs.

Incaviglia was a baseball star at Oklahoma State from 1983-85, hitting 100 total home runs in his career.

Alo’s record-breaking blast came Tuesday as Oklahoma run-ruled Kentucky in a 9-1 victory. The game marked the undefeated Sooners’ 11th run-rule victory in a row. Two other Sooners hit two home runs in the contest: senior captain Lynnsie Elam, who extended her home run streak to five consecutive at-bats, and Alyssa Brito.

The teams played before a sellout crowd of 2,117 at Kentucky’s John Cropp Stadium.

Alo’s first home run came in the first inning, a solo blast that broke her tie with Incaviglia, and her second in the sixth to put the Sooners up 9-1.

One of the most dominant hitters in the NCAA, Alo had previously broken the NCAA softball record for career home runs, a record that was owned by former Sooner Lauren Chamberlain.
