Four players had double-digits for the Wolfpack as the bench combined for 30 points compared to zero bench points for the Terrapins.
Sans Diamond Miller and Katie Benzan, Maryland’s Angel Reese put up a career-best 24 points and nine rebounds. But it wasn’t enough to overcome Elissa Cunane and the Wolfpack. Both Cunane and teammate Jakia Turner-Brown secured double-doubles. Cunane led the team with 20 points and 10 rebounds while Turner-Brown had 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Diamond Johnson had 17 points and eight rebounds to help lead the well-rounded offensive effort. In total, nine different Wolfpack players found the net to secure the win.
Maryland will look to rebound against No. 7 Stanford on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET. Meanwhile the Wolfpack will go up against Washington State at 7 p.m. ET.
