The NWSL announced Wednesday the full schedule for the 2022 regular season, its 10th anniversary campaign.

According to the release, “a significantly smaller number of contests have been scheduled during FIFA windows” to avoid conflicts between national team players and club contests.
It’s the NWSL’s first season with a CBA in place.
NWSL newcomers Angel City FC and San Diego Wave FC will both make their debut this season. Angel City will kick off the season against the North Carolina Courage on Friday, April 29 in their season opener at 10:30 p.m. ET. San Diego will play their first game against the Houston Dash on Sunday, May 1 at 7 p.m. ET.
Defending league champion Washington Spirit will open their season by hosting OL Reign on Sunday, May 1 at 5 p.m. ET.
During Week 2, the Spirit and Chicago Red Stars will compete in a rematch of the 2021 NWSL Championship on Saturday, May 7 at 8 p.m. ET.
The regular season will conclude on Sunday, October 2 with a matchup between the Red Stars and ACFC at 6 p.m. ET. From there, six teams will qualify for the NWSL playoffs, which will conclude in the NWSL Championship on October 29.
The regular season will air across CBS networks and stream live on Paramount+. Select games will also be available on Twitch. Full television details will be released at a later date.
