The PHF Players’ Association has a new executive director. Nicole Corriero was elected to the position, effective immediately.

Corriero replaces Alex Sinatra, who spent just three weeks in the position before the two sides parted ways in January. Corriero is the fourth head of the players’ association.

A former captain of the Harvard women’s hockey team, she is an injury attorney in Toronto. Among her focuses are sports injuries and sports negligence.

During her career at Harvard, Corriero scored 59 goals in 36 games played, something for which she was nominated for an ESPY award in 2005. Several of her collegiate records still stand – including goals per game in a season with 1.64.

In 2015, she was a member of Team Italy at the Ball Hockey World Championship alongside Liz Knox, who is now a founding board member of the PWHPA.
