Three days after San Diego FC announced its trade for Alex Morgan, the deal became official after the NWSL Expansion Draft on Thursday night. The club has acquired the star striker from the Orlando Pride in exchange for midfielder Angharad James and $275,000 in allocation money.
The dollar amount is the largest moved in a single trade in NWSL history.
