Bad weather all day forced some matches to be postponed, as only two courts at Flushing Meadows can be covered during bad weather.
Three-time Grand Slam champion Angelique Kerber’s match against Anhelina Kalinina was postponed until Thursday. The winner of that match will take on Stephens in the third round.
