Sophie Cunningham is expanding her role off the court, joining USA Network as a contributor while entering WNBA free agency ahead of the 2026 season.
The Indiana Fever guard and podcast host will contribute to USA Network's WNBA coverage as part of the league's new 11-year media deal. The broadcast giant is set to air both regular-season and playoff games, providing Cunningham with a new national platform alongside her playing and podcast career.
Cunningham announced the move on Instagram, separating it from her WNBA free agency plans.
However, the timing adds context. Cunningham entered free agency after the 2025 season, creating uncertainty around where she will land in 2026.
The 6-foot-1 guard brings prior media experience into the role. Cunningham worked as a guest analyst for the Phoenix Suns during the 2022/23 NBA season, honing her on-camera skills while still active as a player.
Cunningham joined Indiana from the Phoenix Mercury in a multi-team trade ahead of 2025's tipoff. She averaged 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in her debut season with the Fever, contributing on both ends of the floor during the team's Commissioner's Cup run.
A right MCL injury later ended her season prior to the 2025 WNBA playoffs.
How to Watch Sophie Cunningham as a USA Network Contributor
USA Network plans to broadcast 50 regular-season WNBA games, including weekly Wednesday doubleheaders plus postseason coverage. Cunningham will join the studio team sporadically throughout the season.
