On Monday, Rachel Heck became the first Stanford woman to win the NCAA individual golf title.
The 19-year-old freshman has been smashing records all season, becoming the third woman in DI history to win the Conference, Regional and National championship, after Annie park in 2013 and Marisa Baena 1996. Her Pac-12, Stanford Regional and NCAA titles make up just half of Heck’s six total victories for the season, tying her for third-most in Stanford history. The freshman also set a new NCAA scoring record, averaging a 69.72.

Heck, who won the individual title by one shot over UCLA’s Emma Spitz, will now look for a post-season sweep as she leads Stanford in the team championship on Tuesday.
