The Sun secured their spot in the championship with an 84-72 win over the Atlanta Dream on Friday night.
Jonquel Jones led Connecticut with 24 points and added 16 rebounds for her ninth double-double of the season. DeWanna Bonner recorded 22 points of her own.

Friday marked Atlanta’s first game without Chennedy Carter following her suspension over a dispute in the Dream locker room. The second-year guard was averaging 14.2 points per game this season.
