Angel Reese scored her 30th double-double of the WNBA season on Thursday, putting up 30 points and 10 rebounds as the Atlanta Dream routed the Connecticut Sun 103-59. The forward went 11-for-14 from the field in just 25 minutes, falling one point short of her personal best.
The lopsided victory marked the Dream's first outing after Reese won gold at the FIBA World Cup break.

Atlanta buried Connecticut behind a 31-11 third-quarter run, blowing the game open.
Rhyne Howard added 10 points and eight assists while also etching her name into the record books. The FIBA World Cup gold medalist surpassed the single-season three-point record Sabrina Ionescu set in 2023, sinking her 129th of the year. And she needed just 40 games to get there.
Teammate Allisha Gray also chipped in 10 points. That tally pushed her season total to 782, setting a new franchise high.
Connecticut had no answer for that kind of scoring power after halftime. The Sun fell to a 10-31 record on the season, with Olivia Nelson-Ododa's 13 first-half points standing as the lone bright spot in Wednesday's drubbing.
The Dream, meanwhile, improved to 27-14. Atlanta now heads into the final regular-season stretch, hunting momentum ahead of the 2026 WNBA playoffs.
