Coach Bev Priestman’s 18-player Tokyo roster was announced on Wednesday, with Christine Sinclair headlining the Canadian squad as captain.
Another notable selection was Goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan, who represented Canada in the 2016 games as an alternate. Sheridan got to share in the good news with Gotham FC teammates, who filmed the keeper as she got the call confirming her place on Canada’s Olympic team.
