The U.S Olympic softball team kept it rolling on Saturday, defeating No. 5 Mexico 2-0 for their third-straight victory.
Veteran pitcher Cat Osterman delivered once again, pitching a complete-game shutout for her second win in Tokyo.
In the third inning, Ali Aguilar earned a two-run single, driving home teammates Haylie McCleney and Dejah Mulipola to give the Americans an early lead.
The U.S. women refused to give up their shutout as Monica Abbott took over and closed out the game in the seventh.
Abbott and Osterman have dominated the mound, not allowing a run in opening-round play so far.
Team USA will look to stay undefeated against Australia on Saturday and again against Japan on Sunday.
Winning both of those games will put the Americans in the gold medal game.
