Tobin Heath is done for the season.

Per United manager Casey Stoney, the star midfielder has “picked up a knee injury” and “had a bit of a setback” that has ended her season with Manchester United. Heath will return to the US for rehab on her knee and is “hopeful of making the Olympics.”

According to The Athletic, the decision to return stateside was so that she can work with her personal medical team. A fixture on the United States women’s national team, Heath reportedly wants to be ready and healthy for the Olympics this summer.

It’s also been reported that the U.S. Soccer Federation’s medical staff will be closely monitoring her rehab.

In addition to her knee, Heath has been recovering from an ankle injury suffered in January.

There is no word yet on whether or not Heath will be resigning with United after inking a one-year deal in September alongside USWNT teammate Christen Press.

“We’ve had minimal conversations. Obviously [Heath’s] focus right now is rehab,” Stoney said. “I will be in contact with her while she is out there and we will have further discussions moving forward. At the moment there is no decision.”
