Liverpool Women will wear Turkish Airlines across the front of their jerseys beginning in June 2027. The football club announced a five-year sponsorship deal worth a reported £60 million per season, one that sees the airline sponsoring the WSL, Premiere League, and Academy match shirts through 2032.
Turkish Airlines Makes Major Investment in WSL Football
That commitment comes at a pivotal moment for the Women's Super League squad. Investment in the women's game continues to accelerate. And a deal reportedly worth £300 million-plus in total counts among the biggest front-of-shirt sponsorships in the sport.
Standard Chartered, Liverpool's outgoing sponsor after 17 seasons, will step into a global partner role once the switch takes effect.
"The front of the Liverpool shirt holds a special place in the history of our club," Chief Commercial Officer Ben Latty said in a team statement. "Turkish Airlines is a globally recognized organization with an extensive international network."
The airline already holds a Champions League partnership and sponsors Turkey's national team. That built-in European visibility matters for a WSL club still looking to extend its commercial profile beyond its Premier League counterpart's shadow.
Whether the sponsorship revenue translates into direct investment for Liverpool Women remains the bigger question heading into the 2026/27 season.
