USA Basketball announced its roster for the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifier tournament that will take place from Thursday to Saturday in Washington D.C.

Training camp took place over the weekend, after which USAB announced the 12-member team. They are coached by Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve, who was named head coach through the 2024 Paris Olympics in December.

She will be joined by Vickie Johnson and Mike Thibault, who were named assistant coaches. Curt Miller and James Wade will serve as court coaches and team scouts.

In winning Olympic gold at the Tokyo Games this past summer, the United States has already qualified for the FIBA World Cup. But they still play in the qualifying tournament as a way to help prepare for the World Cup. This year’s event will run from Sept. 22-Oct. 1 in Australia.

The qualifying tournament will be played at the Mystics’ Entertainment and Sports Arena. Puerto Rico and Belgium will play Thursday to kick off the tournament. Team USA will then face Belgium on Friday and Puerto Rico on Saturday.
