The U.S. women’s national team will host Ireland for a pair of friendlies during the FIFA international window in April, the Irish Examiner reported Wednesday. The USWNT confirmed the matches Thursday.
Both squads will be deep into their preparation for the World Cup, which is set to kick off on July 20 in Australia and New Zealand. The Ireland squad will make its World Cup debut this summer, while the USWNT will aim for a third straight title.
Ireland will come to the United States for a 10-day camp, then will face the USWNT at 2:30 p.m. ET Saturday, April 8 at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, and then at 7:30 p.m. ET Tuesday, April 11 at CityPark in in St. Louis.
The first game will air on TNT, Universo and Peacock, while the second game will air on HBO Max, Universo and Peacock.

The No. 1 team in the FIFA world ranking, the USWNT has started its year a perfect 4-0, with two wins against New Zealand in January followed by two wins to start the SheBelieves Cup.
The final match of the SheBelieves Cup for the USWNT will come at 7 p.m. ET Wednesday against Brazil in Frisco, Texas.
The April international window, which runs from April 3-11, is the last until July. With most USWNT players committed to NWSL teams for the interim, the Ireland matches will serve as the last chance to see the team in action before the World Cup roster is selected.
“The two games will be a great test at a crucial time in our team’s run to the World Cup,” USWNT coach Vlatko Andonovski said. “While there will be plenty of league games for us to watch after April, these will be the final matches for our players with the national team before we have to pick the World Cup roster, so they will carry that importance.”
