Franch has had a stellar year in net for the Current, helping them all the way to the NWSL championship game. During the regular season, she recorded five clean sheets, averaged 3.4 saves per 90 minutes and helped the Kansas City Current to a 10-6-5 record.
Her efforts got her second place in Goalkeeper of the Year voting behind San Diego’s Kailen Sheridan.
In the playoffs, she made 15 saves to become and extend her lead as the league’s all-time leader in postseason saves.
Her last appearance for the USWNT came last October, when she posted a clean sheet in a friendly against South Korea. She’s got 10 total caps on the squad, including in the 2019 World Cup and at the Tokyo Olympics last summer.
