The 2022 WNBA draft takes place tonight in New York City, live and in-person for the first time since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The draft will begin at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
There are three rounds, with each round consisting of 12 picks. In total, there are 36 picks out of what is a large draft pool.
A few days ago, the Atlanta Dream traded for the No. 1 pick from the Washington Mystics. Yesterday, the Minnesota Lynx made it clear that they’re setting their sights on future drafts, trading away picks No. 8 and 13 to Las Vegas.
“We believe this year’s draft is a good draft, however, with the players that we currently have under contract and the limited roster space remaining, we made the decision to turn our attention to future opportunities,” Minnesota coach and general manager Cheryl Reeve said.
