The Kansas City Current are onto the NWSL championship following a 2-0 win over OL Reign.
Alex Loera struck first, continuing the theme of Current rookies notching their first-ever goal at key points in this season’s playoffs. Her goal, which came in the fourth minute of the game, is the fastest playoff goal scored by an away team in league history.

It’s Kansas City’s first-ever trip to the NWSL championship and continues what has been an incredible year, including a 13-match unbeaten streak, one year after finishing dead last in the league.
Kansas City will face off against the Portland Thorns in the final on Oct. 29.
