Anna Nordqvist squeezed past the competition during the final round of the AIG Women’s Open on Sunday, winning by one stroke for her third major title on the LPGA Tour.

The Swedish golfer finished at 12-under par, pulling in front of Lizette Salas, Georgia Hall and Madelene Sagström who all ended the tournament at 11-under.

Nordqvist shared the lead with Nanna Koerstz Madsen heading into the final hole, but a double bogey by Madsen left the door open for Nordqvist to secure the victory.

Georgia Hall, Madelene Sagstrom and Lizette Salas finished tied for second at 11-under par. Nelly Korda, the world No. 1 and recently crowned Olympic gold medalist, finished at 6-under after struggling with her putting for much of the tournament.

The British Open championship is Nordqvist’s third major title and first since the 2017 Evian Championship.

In addition to the AIG Women’s Open trophy, Nordqvist will take home $870,000 as a part of the tournament’s $5.8 million prize fund, the largest in women’s golf history.
