The Connecticut Sun remain unbeaten after defeating the Phoenix Mercury in their home opener 84-67.
Jonquel Jones recorded her third double-double in a row on Friday night, putting up 16 points and 11 rebounds. DeWanna Bonner added 14 points and seven rebounds to help secure the Sun a win over her former team. Bonner spent nine years of her WNBA career with Phoenix before being traded to the Sun last year.

Natisha Hiedeman, who is averaging 14.3 points per game this season, continued on a hot streak, combining with Jasmine Thomas for 27 points and eight rebounds.
The Sun are now 4-0 to start the 2021 season. Connecticut will hope to make it 5-0 against the Aces on Sunday. The Mercury have some time off before they face Las Vegas at home on Wednesday.
