Fran Belibi sweetened Stanford’s 78-37 rout of Montana State in the first round Friday night, throwing down the third dunk in NCAA Women’s Tournament history.
The Stanford junior went coast to coast in the second quarter, blocking a Bobcat shot before charging up the floor for a one-handed slam. The dunk was the third of Belibi’s career and the first in the NCAA Tournament since Brittney Griner’s in 2013. Candace Parker previously dunked in a tournament game with Tennessee in 2006.
