The USWNT will debut a fresh look in April, as US Soccer and Nike released new jersey designs on Monday, uniting all 27 national teams with the 2026 Men's World Cup kits — the first time every US team will suit up in the same kits in federation history.

The designs follow a distinct concept — a bold, waving "stripes kit" and a dark, more nuanced "stars kit" — influenced in part by US men's players as they prepare to host the FIFA tournament later this summer.

"I think between both kits there is something for everybody," said Nike global product director Ronnie J. Stewart in Monday's statement. "If you want to be loud and proud and represent the crest, no one's going to doubt who you're there for in the light [stripes] kit. If you're looking for that lifestyle look that works off the field, the dark [stars jersey] is for you."

US Soccer and Nike will further lean into the intersection of soccer and lifestyle by dropping a streetwear collection inspired by the new kits later this spring.

In the biggest release in US Soccer history, some 2,500 retailers across the country are now carrying the jerseys to ensure fans can suit up before this summer's Men's World Cup — though its unclear how many will stock versions showcasing the USWNT's four world championship stars.

"A national team jersey represents the pride of wearing the crest, not just for players on the field, but also for the fans who support them every step of the way," said US Soccer CCO Dave Wright.

The new 2026 kits dropped across major sportswear retailers on Monday, including the Official US Soccer Store.

The NWSL is gearing up for the 2026 season, with all 16 clubs releasing their jersey designs on Thursday morning — with a few teams going the extra mile.

Each team dropped at least one new look, while select clubs added a third kit to their arsenal for the first time.

Incoming expansion teams Boston Legacy FC and Denver Summit FC already introduced original home and away jerseys, providing a sneak peek to fans earlier this month, with the 14 veteran clubs revealing their kits on Thursday.

Every new NWSL jersey tells a story, while a few dynamic concepts lean into bold colors and local details.

The Washington Spirit are debuting their first-ever cherry blossom kit, the Wave's latest addition reflects San Diego's 1,200-acre Balboa Park, and the Pride's Unity Kit symbolizes "the strength, resilience, and unity of the City of Orlando" 10 years after the Pulse Nightclub tragedy.

Other kits embrace regional lore, like Racing's disco ball design — a nod to Louisville's history as the world's leading disco ball producer — with the North Carolina Courage paying homage to the state's official carnivorous plant, the Venus fly trap, while Gotham FC's first-ever third kit is a 3D take on Lady Liberty.

The 2026 NWSL kits — including goalkeeper jerseys, customizable jerseys, and pre-match tops — are currently available for purchase in unisex, women's, and youth cuts at the NWSL Shop.

The 15th WNBA team is starting to spark, with incoming expansion side Portland Fire dropping their inaugural 2026 jersey designs this week.

"Our 2026 jerseys are an embodiment this new era of the team: bold, innovative, and resilient," said Fire senior VP of marketing and communications Kimberly Veale in the team's Wednesday press release. "Every element was shaped with Portland in mind, honoring our legacy, while capturing the spirit and energy of this incredible city we represent."

The two-jersey lineup includes the white WNBA Nike Heroine Edition with "Fire" written on the front "signifying the city's passion for the team," as well as a red WNBA Nike Explorer Edition "celebrating the Fire's legacy" in the league's return to Portland.

Both jerseys also feature a left shoulder patch for sponsor Chime, after the financial services company officially signed on to be the team's banking and credit partner on Tuesday.

Additionally, the franchise unveiled new secondary "PDX" logos on Wednesday, designed to reference local geographic icons like the Willamette River and Mt. Hood.

Notably, the team is still without a roster, as ongoing CBA negotiations have thrown the WNBA calendar in flux.

Barring a work stoppage, the first-ever Portland Fire game will tip off against the visiting Chicago Sky on Saturday, May 9th.

While the white "Heroine Edition" is not yet available for purchase, fans can now buy an "Explorer" jersey, as well as apparel from the new PDX logo capsule collection, at the Portland Fire's online Team Shop.

The NWSL is adding fan fashion to matchday this season, teaming up with Washington, DC-based design label Dead Dirt to launch an exclusive preseason collection of jerseys this week.

Dead Dirt dropped the colorful knit merch for all 16 NWSL franchises, with initial jersey inventories for multiple clubs — including incoming 2026 expansion teams Boston Legacy FC and Denver Summit FC — selling out within hours of the Thursday night release.

Showcasing a collared, V-necked, rugby shirt aesthetic, each kit includes nods to the club's color and crest throughout the design.

Named the Spirit's first-ever creative director in March 2024, Dead Dirt founder Domo Wells dropped multiple collections with the Washington club over the last two seasons — from 2024's "New Growth" collection to 2025's "Cherry Blossom" and "Fast Track" capsules — before the NWSL tapped Wells to expand her design footprint league-wide.

"You have to truly understand the team's culture and region. That's why my first full season with the Washington Spirit mattered," Wells told The Cut last month. "That's when the conversation shifted from one team to the entire league."

Additionally, this week's launch is the first of many future NWSL collaborations, with Wells detailing a "layered" plan for cohesive league-wide drops "with the option for teams to go deeper if they want more."

As for what NWSL fans can expect from upcoming Dead Dirt collections, Wells sees her role as "reframing merch as storytelling."

"My goal [is] always to design pieces that live outside the stadium," she explained. "If it doesn't live in [a fan's] closet after game day, it's not worth the spend."

One of the newest WNBA teams stepped out this week, as the Toronto Tempo unveiled their debut jerseys Tuesday ahead of their inaugural 2026 season.

"Today marks another meaningful milestone on our journey to bringing Canada's first WNBA team to life," Toronto CMO Whitney Bell said in Tuesday's release. "Every detail of these uniforms is intentional."

The designs feature the team's signature Borealis Blue and Tempo Bordeaux colors, with six speed lines down the sides mirroring the Tempo's logo.

"We've created a design that brings our brand to life and represents our city, our fans, and our team," said Bell. "We cannot wait for our players — and our fans — to wear them with pride."

While the WNBA expects that Toronto will hit the court next season alongside fellow incoming franchise the Portland Fire, stagnant CBA negotiations have delayed both expansion drafts.

In the meantime, the teams are moving forward with staff hirings and the development of on- and off-court identities as they wait to build out their rosters.

US Soccer dropped new 2025 national team jerseys on Tuesday, with the USWNT set to debut the refreshed jersey designs during their May 29th friendly against China PR.

Along with a trio of USMNT players, USWNT veterans Lynn Biyendolo, Naomi Girma, and Sophia Wilson helped design the Nike home and away jerseys.

Created for both the US women's and men's national teams, the dark "Heartbeat Kit" boasts bold red and blue vertical pinstripes in a "streetstyle" design aimed to honor the zealous US fanbase.

The "Brilliant Kit," however, is a USWNT-exclusive design.

To celebrate the USWNT’s founding 40 years ago, the "Brilliant Kit" incorporates details from iconic past US jerseys, with an overall abstract pattern of blue stars on the light-hued shirt.

"To me, the kits represent the USWNT mentality of always pushing forward," said Biyendolo in the US Soccer release

"I know I can speak for my teammates when I say that every time we put on the uniform, it brings a great sense of pride," she added. "When we represent our country, our team, and ourselves, we know we are doing so while standing on the shoulders of giants."

"The Brilliant Kit is just another way to honor our past and the women who played before us."

The "Brilliant Kit" will make its USWNT debut in a friendly against China PR in St. Paul, Minnesota, on May 31st.
