A member of the Minnesota Lynx from 2010 until her retirement in 2018, Whalen won four WNBA titles (2011, 2013, 2015, 2017) and two Olympic gold medals with Team USA (2012, 2016). In addition to her six All-Star nods, she was named to the All-WNBA First Team three times and is still the league’s career leader in games won at 307.
The Lynx retired Whalen’s jersey in 2019.
Finalists for the Naismith Hall of Fame will be announced on Feb. 18 during the NBA’s All-Star weekend, and the official Class of 2022 will be unveiled during the NCAA Men’s Final Four in early April.
