Marina Alex finished with a 10-under 274 at the Palos Verdes Golf Club to claim victory at the Palos Verdes Championship on Sunday.

The American sunk a two-putt birdie on the par-5 16th and parred the last two holes to pull ahead of Jin Young Ko by one stroke.

Alex fired a 5-under 66 final round to overcome a three-stroke deficit heading into Sunday.

“I wasn’t sure if this would ever happen again if I’m being perfectly honest,” the 31-year-old said after her win. “It’s been tough. We’re all getting older. I’m getting older. There are so many amazing players out here. The competition is really, really difficult.”

Lydia Ko and Megan Khang rounded out the top of the Palos Verdes leaderboard, falling two strokes behind Alex.

“Today was amazing,” Alex said. “I’m kind of not really there with processing what went down today, but it’s been a really tough couple years.”

Sunday’s victory marks Alex’s second LPGA Tour win. She last lifted the trophy at the Portland Classic in 2018.
