The National Women’s Soccer League’s Independent Review Panel has retracted a red card issued to OL Reign goalkeeper Sarah Bouhaddi during the team’s July 11 match against Kansas City.

Officiating has dominated the NWSL conversation as of late, with Chicago Red Stars coach Rory Dames sounding off about missed calls in his post-game press conference on Sunday.

In this instance, OL Reign appealed the disciplinary action against Bouhaddi following Sunday’s match. After review, the Panel determined Bouhaddi hadn’t denied an obvious goal-scoring opportunity, granting OL Reign their appeal.
