Don’t look now, but the Fever are heating up heading into the Olympic break.

Indiana’s 79-68 win over the Atlanta Dream on Sunday marked the team’s third consecutive victory after suffering 12 straight losses. The three-game winning streak is also the Fever’s first since the 2016 season.

For the first time since 2019, all five Indiana starters finished in double figures. That effort was led by Teaira McCowan, who finished with 21 points and 14 rebounds to record her eighth double-double of the season and 24th of her career.

Tiffany Mitchell made a statement of her own, finishing with 14 points to move into fourth on the Fever’s all-time scoring list ahead of Tammy Sutton-Brown.

The Fever were dominant in every aspect of the game Sunday night, out-rebounding Atlanta 49-30 and marking the largest rebounding differential for both teams this season. Indiana also held Atlanta to 1-of-13 shooting from 3-point range — the fewest 3-pointers Atlanta has made in a game all season.

It’s quite the turnaround for the Fever, who raised questions after they waived former No. 3 overall pick Lauren Cox in late June.

The Fever will ride their momentum into the Olympic break. They’ll face the Los Angeles Sparks on Aug. 15 when the WNBA regular season resumes.
