Trinity Rodman continued to make her case for rookie of the year on Wednesday, as the Washington Spirit defeated the North Carolina Courage 2-1.

Rodman got the scoring started in the 40th minute, putting one in off of an attempted clearance. It’s the forward’s fourth goal of the season.

The Courage managed to put one past Aubrey Bledsoe in the 60th minute when Meredith Speck evened it up at 1-1.

Ten minutes later, Dorian Bailey’s corner kick found Julia Roddar, who capitalized for her first career NWSL goal.

With the win, the Washington Spirit move up to third in the NWSL standings with 33 points, while the Courage fall to sixth with 32.
