Minnesota-Duluth booked their ticket to the Frozen Four national championship after upsetting No. 3 Northwestern 2-1 in double overtime on Friday.

UMD’s Naomi Rogge notched the game-winner after excellent goaltending kept the game level through the first overtime period. Emma Soderberg recorded 46 saves to help the Bulldogs advance to their first national championship game since 2010.

UMD will meet No. 1 Ohio State in the final after the Buckeyes defeated No. 5 Yale 2-1 in the other semifinal on Friday.

Jennifer Gardiner broke the second-period deadlock with the game-winning goal for Ohio State. With the win, the Buckeyes will make their first national championship game appearance in program history at 4 p.m. ET Sunday on ESPNU.
