The U-17 U.S. women’s national team defeated Canada 3-0 on Friday to advance to the U-17 Concacaf Women’s Championship Final and qualify for their U-17 World Cup.

Melina Rebimbas notched a brace, scoring the team’s first goal in the 18th minute and a second in the 58th. Onyeka Gamero closed out the scoring, finding the back of the net for the USWNT in the 78th minute, as goalkeeper Victoria Safradin and the U.S. defense managed the clean sheet.

“We’ve created such a family culture,” said Rebimbas. “To be able to get these opportunities to win together as one family, just represent each other as a whole, and to get through it with this amazing group of young ladies, I don’t know what I’d be able to do without them.”

The U.S. squad dominated possession with a 79 percent advantage and completed 566 passes to Canada’s 166 with an accuracy of 86 percent.

The team will meet Mexico on Sunday in the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship Final.
