Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger have welcomed their second child. The Gotham FC stars announced Tuesday that they have adopted a baby boy named Ocean Maeve Krieger-Harris.
“Our hearts are full during this time and we are so grateful for the love and support our family, friends and club have shown,” Harris wrote on Instagram.

The duo missed Gotham FC’s game against the Chicago Red Stars on August 7. At the time, Harris and Krieger each tweeted that they were dealing “with a family matter” and asked for support and privacy.
Now the newly expanded family is ready to celebrate.
“We are so thrilled for our growing family and couldn’t be more excited to have two beautiful babies to share life with!” Krieger wrote on Instagram. “Baby Boy, you are so loved and adored already and I’m so proud to be your Mommy.”
Krieger and Harris have been married since December 2019, and they adopted daughter Sloane Phillips in February 2021. In July, they opened up about adopting Sloane on the Snacks podcast, revealing that they had started the process thinking it would take years but instead it took months.
The duo aren’t the first NWSL players to welcome a new addition this year in what could be classified as a league-wide baby boom: Crystal Dunn gave birth to a baby boy in May, and Allie Long, Kealia Watt and Julie Ertz have announced pregnancies this year.
