Speculation regarding Christen Press and Tobin Heath’s next move has heated up.
Recent comments made by Racing Louisville’s head coach Christy Holly have fueled conjecture that trades for both the USWNT stars are all but inevitable.
When asked trades regarding Heath and Press, Holly had some choice words, stating, “The players that I would like to focus on are the players that are inside that building, and the players that actually opted to be at this club, and actually picked up the phone and talked to us.”
Christy Holly: "There's no information. The players that I would like to focus on are the players that are inside that building, and the players that actually opted to be at this club, and actually picked up the phone and talked to us."

Questions regarding Press and Heath’s future first arose when the duo confirmed back in June that they would not be returning to Manchester United, where the two spent the 2020-2021 Women’s Super League season.
Attention then turned to Racing Louisville FC, the NWSL club that secured Press and Heath’s rights in November’s expansion draft. However, The Athletic’s Meg Linehan has reported that both Health and Press have no intention of playing for Louisville, leading to speculation that Louisville intended to flip the stars for more assets. Linehan reports that Angel City FC has instigated negotiations for Press’ rights.
Holly addressed reports of an Angel City bid, stating that “there is no information” on any offers from the Los Angeles expansion club.
