One game after tying Cammi Granato’s record for the most goals in Women’s World Championship history, Hilary Knight now owns it.
Knight scored in Team USA’s 6-0 win over Russia on Tuesday, giving her 45 goals in world championships and breaking Granato’s record in the process.

With an assist on Knight’s goal, Brianna Decker made some history of her own. Decker now has 39 assists in the women’s worlds, the most ever by an American.
Team USA is well on its way to the knockout stages of the tournament, which it has won the last five times it’s been held. With the win over Russia, the U.S. is 3-0 in group play with one more game remaining Thursday against Canada.
