Mallory Pugh is on a tear, adding two goals to her Challenge Cup tally in Chicago’s 2-0 win over Houston on Saturday.

The Red Stars opened up scoring in the 32nd minute, with Pugh splitting the Dash backline with a darting run and beating Jane Campbell to put Chicago up 1-0.

Pugh doubled Chicago’s lead in the 82nd minute, firing off powerful shot from a narrow angle to put the game out of reach.

With the win, the Red Stars moved into first place in the Central Division, while Houston remains in fourth.

Pugh leads all NWSL players with four goals through the Challenge Cup.
