Alex Morgan is adding another member to her team. The USWNT legend and former San Diego Wave captain took to social media on Mother's Day to announce that she and husband Servando Carrasco are expecting their third child this fall.
The announcement came via a heartfelt Instagram video showing Morgan, Carrasco, and their two children on a beach in California, walking toward the camera. As the family entered the frame, the two-time World Cup winner revealed her baby bump, which her oldest daughter, Charlie, quickly leaned in to kiss.
"Mother’s Day feeling extra special this year," Morgan wrote. "Excited to welcome baby #3 this Fall."
The news sparked a wave of celebration across the women’s sports world with former teammates including Mallory Swanson, Kelley O’Hara, and Lynn Williams flooding the comments to share their congratulations.
The San Diego Wave — the club where Morgan played her final professional match in September 2024 — summarized the moment fittingly. "Omg the hat trick," wrote the team.
The pregnancy marks the couple’s third child, after they wed in 2014. Their daughter, Charlie, was born in May 2020. A son, Enzo, subsequently arrived in March 2025.
Since her pro soccer retirement last fall, Morgan has shifted focus to her business ventures and family life. She remains a vocal advocate for women’s sports investment, rejoining the Wave as a minority owner in May 2025.
