Alison Lee is heading to the 2026 Solheim Cup just 17 months after welcoming her son via an emergency C-section. Building points throughout this year's LPGA schedule, the 31-year-old automatically qualified for the US roster — becoming the first mom to represent Team USA since Juli Inkster in 2011.

Alison Lee gave birth son Levi in April 2025. She got back on the LPGA schedule sooner than expected, returning to pro golf competition just four months later.
A T5 finish at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship and a T3 at the Mizuho Americas Open anchored her 2026 qualifying push. She added a T14 at the US Women's Open along the way.
Those results earned her a spot through ranking points, sparing her the uncertainty of a captain's pick. "I feel like I have a big weight lifted off my shoulders," Lee said.
2026 US Solheim Cup Welcomes New Mom to Title Defense
Getting there wasn't easy. Lee has been open about crying on the range while navigating early motherhood and her LPGA Tour return. Before her, the last mom to compete in any Solheim Cup was Europe's Suzann Pettersen in 2019.
Lee hopes to help her team find victory in Europe, joining captain Angela Stanford's 12-player squad at Bernardus Golf Club in the Netherlands.
The 2026 Solheim Cup runs September 11-13. And yes, Levi will be in the stands.
